THE RANI RE-ROLLING MILLS LIMITED “RRM” delighted to announce lunching of its highest cyclic loading capacity earth quake restive TMT bars by adopting DIRECT HOT ROLLING “DHR” technology for the first time in Bangladesh utilizing most advanced machineries from Belgium, Germany, India, Italy & USA.
The lunching event held at VIP Lounge of National Press Club – Dhaka today and the presented chief guest was Dr. Prof. Ahmed Sharif – Head of MME-BUET in association with RRM GROUP Chairman Mr. Sumon Chowdhury, Managing Director Mr. Saiful Islam Shuvo Chowdhury, Chief Executive Mr. Sanjay Kumar (India).
RRM Group Chairman Mr. Sumon Chowdhury stated,
“I have inspired myself to serve the nation and human life to live safe in a better environment. Bangladesh is on accelerating track to build up its infrastructure with huge civil constructions in near future. We have tried to contribute a better quality earth quake resistant TMT bars for civil constructions. I adopted direct hot rolling process by passing traditional Re-heating furnace.
As a result, Re heating natural gas is saved, carbon dioxide emission is lowered. Above all a better quality product is achieved with lower environmental impact and minimized cost.
In my view, all the bar making industries should come forward to adopt this DHR process for ultimate benefit of Bangladesh.”
DR. Prof. Ahmed Sharif Said,
“Direct Hot Rolling (DHR) process was experienced and established in Japan about decades back and it was implemented worldwide in so many countries as per reference records. The martensitic outer rim, ferrite perlite core and combination of microstructures in TMT bars found better in DHR process. The TMT bar quality is better in this technique unless the total process is executed in a proper planned way. For execution of the DHR process, suitable Layout of the production plant, fully controlled automation & skilled operating team is deadly essential for better productivity. RRM executed the DHR process in a proper & planed way. I encourage the other units to come forward and implement the process. So that, Bangladesh will get better product with save in energy and green house environment.”
